Typhoon Quiel (Bagyong Quiel) Update September 29 2011

Tropical storm Quiel is already in the Philippines.

In the 4AM update of PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration), Quiel was last spotted 1,240 km east of Aparri in Cagayan and was packing maximum sustained winds of 105 kph with gustiness of up to 135 kph. Quiel is expected to intensify into a typhoon (Bagyong Quiel) by Sunday and is forecast to hit the provinces of Cagayan and Isabela. The western part of Luzon including the National Capital Region (NCR) will experience rains due to the National Capital Region (NCR).
