UAAP and NCAA on HDTV – Philippines

SkyCable subscribers with an HD box will start to enjoy basketball games in HD as ABS-CBN just launched its high-definition TV (HDTV) test broadcast of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) basketball games last Saturday, July 11, 2009 on Balls HD (SkyCable channel 166).

The network is also set to air the the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) basketball games today via the same channel. Balls HD will air the live telecast of the UAAP games on HD from 2PM to 7PM every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, whereas the NCAA games on HD will air every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

    last month bumili ng HD cameras ang ABSCBN para sa mas malaking market nila sa ibang bansa,kasi lumalaki na daw market nila dun at kelangan nilang makipagsabayan.
