UAAP Cheerdance 2009 Results – FEU Pep Squad wins
The Far Eastern University (FEU) Pep Squad bagged the 2009 UAAP Samsung Cheerdance Competition on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Ateneo de Manila University’s Blue Babble Battalion came in second while defending back-to-back champion the University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad settled for third. The scores of the squads were 86.1%, 83.4%, and 83.1%, respectively. Meanwhile, the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe, who has eight championships ended up outside the top three.

yey! at last, two of my schools are in the top two. this year is a good year for FEU & AdMU who for two years bagged the 3rd & 4th spot respectively. They have shown clean routines… medyo yabang kasi ng UST pati UP. sorry guys, the UAAP CDC crown doesnt belong to you alone…UST had a good routine… if it werent only because of the falls…. UP had another creative, difficult and original routine… but it was a bit messy! FEU & AdMU had clean routines, free from falls and faults…. remember, every minor fault constitutes a 1 point deduction! CONGRATULATIONS FEU & Ateneo

Of course I think UP’s still the best. It was a matter of point deductions kaya nagthird. But the routine was great. :) Sayang ang UST, I’d rather that we lost to them. Hahaha.
FEU was good, pero I didn’t think it was champion material. And AdMU–well I love the Eagles sa basketball pero I’m still wondering what they’re doing in the top three, sorry. :P

well, ung UP may hangover p ng centennial aniv nla, AdMU celebr8s its 150 years aniversary this year, and FEU is the host of this season’s uaap… so ok lng nmn n matalo salinggawi namin…. and were not boastful of always bagging the crown…

I think the judges should have considered the difficulty of the stunts. There’s a big difference in executing a clean and free from falls stunts which can be done also by elementary and highschool students alone, between a champion level stunts that only people with best talents could able to perform. Congrats to all the winners!

kahit im from UP i acknowledge na hindi ganun kaganda and kalinis ang performance nila though creative pa rin naman and ang taas ng level of difficulty. wala lang masyadong tumatatak sa isip na stunts…
naawa ako ng onti sa UST pero mas marami pa rin mali nila sa min tho maganda yung flags nila na orange and yellow.
bawi UP and UST next year! :)

i was rooting for UP, level of difficulty is high at sa pagkakapanood ko swabe performance nila. madame b tlga sila errors? UP at FEU kc nakita kong naglalaban for 1st place..
Ateneo is good, astig ng moonwalk at malinis ang performance, pero level of difficulty is not that high.. Anyway, Congrats pa rin! sana mas maganda next year.. =p

Naku ang daming bitter sa facebook kahapon regarding sa pagkapanalo ng FEU. Hey regardless kung Host ang FEU, it is a given fact that in the past 6 years (UST.UP and FEU lang po lage ang nasa Top 3 so ung mga Bitter ever dyan sorry nalang kayo hindi nyo year this year so better luck next year ok?!?!?! GO FIGHT TAMARAWS!!!! GO GREEN & GOLD!!!! =)

hands down ako s FEU…twice a day cla ng ttraining 4am after nun balik cla 6pm..diba grabe ang hard work at discipline nila…Y ATENEO?..merun din cla error…sa difficulty masasabi old school..parang inulit lang nila un last yr. routine…mas madami ang error ng UP. kesa UST…eniwei ndi ako ang judge at hindi rin ako ang sponsor…at wala ako ka kilala na mataas n tao s samsung…samsung kumuha ng judge diba? or abs?…eniweis samsung p din ang magbabayad nun…

I wasn’t able to watch the competition in Araneta and I’m a bit surprised that Ateneo got into the top 3 instead of UST… But I’m not surprised that lasalle did not place at all cause cheerleading is not our forte haha… Anyway, congrats to the winners and it’s about time someone bagged the higher spots… Medyo nakakasawa din kasi pag same lang ng same nananalo na somehow may bias na sa judges… The winners deserve it! =)

well.i really believe that the judges should have a consideration.
COMMON SENSE: if the routine is hard, there are more chances that it could have a fall.(but ust and up still did a good job)
if the routine is easy, the less chances they have to fall(and i think that was the technique of feu).

FEU’s routine is easy??? Kaya pala walang gumawa ng chin chin kasi madali pala yun at yung mga mala-contortionist na ginawa nila..Grabe..ang dali..sana gawin nung mga bitter dyan yung routine ng FEU para malaman nila kung madali talaga yun…hahaha….EASY ROURTINE???You’re kiddin, right???
