UPCAT Results 2007 Released
Results of the University of the Philippines College Admission Test was released last January 21, 2007.
Incoming freshmen of AY 2007-2008 who took the UPCAT can check if they passed by entering their name in the searchable database of passers at http://upcat.up.edu.ph/results/. Due to the large traffic generated by the online UPCAT Results, the University has dedicated a separate bandwidth for the UP System sites last January 23. Consequently, the UP System website and all System units it is hosting including the UPCAT website may not be accessible outside DilNet starting 6pm Mana Time. UP Diliman hosted sites are not affected.

no matter kung anong iskul ka pa or sa iskul man sa probinsya o sa bangketa…ang pag unlad ay nakasalalay
sa pagnanasa at pagsisikap ng isang tao…im not sayin na di maganda iskul ang up…but sabi

when i took the upcat way back then, i was so depressed that i didnt make it on my first choice but i passed the 2nd choice which in fairness is also a quota course in UPM,with a thought of not fulfilling what i really want and for the sake of being a UPista, i enrolled in UPM with a course im not really into, but now im just not so happy with waht i ahve and where i am now, im quite nostalgic of what ifs, if i just pursued the course i really want even in a university that is not as popular as UP.

simula pa lang nung grade 6 ako, pangarap ko na na sa UP ako mag aral, then dumating na yung time na fourth year na ako at kailangang kumuha ako ng UPCAT, i’ tried my best. Gusto ko talagang makapasa, dahil yun lang ang tanging paraan na makapag-aral ako. Sayang kasi yung time. I am hoping na makapasa me!!!!!!!!!!!!

The truth is some will pass and some will not make it, However, if you don’t make it, there are other paths to take. regardless of the outcome, CHEER UP!! Failing UPCAT is not the end of your world.

We will be seeing the results. Let’s wait for it. Kung para tayo dun, God will do the rest. For that matter, hawak na Niya yung decisions. At tayo, maghintay na lang. Hmmm. Hindi pa naman katapusan ng mundo kung hindi tayo para dun. Transfer next sem or next year. Yun nga lang, extra effort then uulit ka ulit ng first year. But oh well, pagdasal na lang natin. :)

I have an older brother na “Isko Ng Bayan” kung tawagin. My parents don’t give me any pressure. Yun lang yung maganda dun. Dahil sabi nila sakin, kung makapasa ako, GOOD. Kung hindi, GOD’S will yun. Yun ang isipin nating lahat, guys. Huwag tayong mawawalan ng pag-asa. Okay? I know it would hurt kung hindi tayo makapasa, but let’s get on with our lives after that. Okay? So apparently, KINAKABAHAN TAYONG LAHAT. Sana, maging “Iska” din ako. Para dalawa na kaming taga-UP. Pero kung hindi, I won’t be suicidal. Hahaha the heck, my life won’t end there. Its so fun reading these….Actually, dad na ko, napunta lang ako dito website para hanapin list ng UPCAT results, but my son texted already that he passed the test. Yung 3 big schools, DLSU, AdMU and UP pasado sya. Sa AdMU, nasa directors list pa sya (sorry mga iha/iho….proud lang ang daddy, hehehehe).
Well, so much with that. Just a piece of advice, yes, masarap pakiramdam pag pumasa ka sa UP, kc ang ibig sabihin nun magaling ka……..Pero, sa mundo ng “real life”, after ur college, di na pinag uusapan kung UP ka o anong school….Its how you face challenges to succeed in life. Eto tandaan nyo, hindi lahat ng taga UP, e matatalino….yes, they could be “intellectually gifted” academically, but that’s just one of the so many factors that one needs to have in order to succeed in life. I work as an HR Mgr in one of the big corp. in Makati and i remember interviewing two newly grads, one from UP and the other from PUP. During the interview, magaling talaga ung taga UP, ung PUP grad di masyado, but i saw in him great potential as well, since we need to hire two applicants, kinuha namin silang dalawa………To make the story, short, after 5 years, ung taga UP, wla na, nag resign na, but ung taga PUP, he’s still with us, and he is now being trained for a managerial position. From what i’ve heard, ung taga UP, he keeps on changing jobs……Lessons learned??? Its not the school which will mold ur life, its your determination…..
So dont be despair if you did not pass UPCAT, there are other equally good schools. Meanwhile, like what ive been telling my son na mag enjoy sya sa kabtaan nya, but of course without neglecting his studies. Once you step out from college, that’s when “real life” begins, and its a long battle and struggle, definitely much more difficult than passing the UPCAT…..believe me………Cheers, guys.

i say: everything depends on your financial stat. if you know you ahve enough money to enroll in lasalle..go for it! it’s not that i have personal querries about up or smthing, but personally, i believe that lasalle or ateneo can provide you better education, not mentioning the environment difference they have.
FOR EVERYBODY! you what guys, it doesnt really matter what school you go for college. some companies, or jobs i may say, look into school names but to tell you the truth..youor school doesnt define your abilities..it doesnt measure what you can do. believe me. if you didnt make it to up..so wht? who the hell care?! you might be disappointed but dnt think your future stops right then and there, it’s really silly seeing people ending their lives just because they didn’t make it to up, lasalle, ateneo, ust and all that. as far i know..there are two types of people in this world.. the book smart people and the street smart people… if you didnt make it to up, it means you’re not as intellectually competent as others..but you know what, you can be the street smart one. and i tell you..IT’S WAY BETTER!!

i think that a status with “degree program with available slot means” you didn’t pass for the courses you want but you met the campus’ standard. you should just look for another course other than the two you’ve chosen. congrats to all passers! :)

alam mo, katrisse, wag kang ganyan. wag mong sabihin na panget ang up compared to la salle and ateneo kasi in the first place, HINDI KA NAMAN NAKAPASA. wala kang karapatan na mag-sabi ng mga kung anu-ano kung hindi mo pa naman nararanasan. tsaka alam mo ba ang ibig sabihin ng ‘queries’? it means questions, so ang labo naman ng ibig sabihin mo na may “personal queries” ka about up.
sa pagkakaalam ko, ang up ay nasa top 500 universities sa mundo, pati ateneo nandun, pero nangunguna ang up. wala ang la salle dun so how can you say na mas maganda education dun?
isa pa, may mga taong intellectual AT streetsmart pa. hello, ano kala mo sa mga taga-up?nerd?haay,sang bato ka tumira?

wala akong angal sa ibang colleges, and sana sa iba rin, dpat ganun din ang mentality. live and let live, and biases should only come after experiencing something afterhand.

sa nagtatanong kung magkano ang tuition fee sa UP… as far as i know…
its 1000 per unit na for updiliman, upbagiuo and uplosbaños… i just don’t know for other campuses.. actually the tuition fee increased was started last years batch…
sa mga nakapas.. congrats sa inyo… hindi niyo pagsisihan maging isko at iska ng bayan…

di ko gets i passed UPM, pero i landed on DPWS. I was a bit disappointed na di ako regular passer, but as months passed, ive discovered ive been accepted to my first choice when I applied. bakit pa ko naging DPWS, when babagasak rin pala ako sa first choice ko. ang weird. bat ganon?
