Actress Valerie “Bangs” Garcia is set to star in the indie movie titled “Marino,” which is a story of the struggles and sacrifices of Filipino seamen and the families they left behind.
The movie also stars Allen Dizon and Ara Mina. Bangs’ role in the movie is different from the characters she usually plays. “Kasi kung lagi akong glamorosa doon, probinsiyana ako, mas simple, tamed, hindi maarte at hindi matapang.”
Marino is set to be shown in theaters by June or July.
