Valerie Concepcion as Betty La Fea on ABS-CBN?
Wowowee host and actress Valerie Concepcion is one of the actresses being considered by ABS-CBN to play the lead role in the local adaptation of the Colombian soap opera “Betty La Fea”.
The 20-year-old actress is hoping to play the role of Beatriz Pinzon Solano, the main character in Betty La Fea, a not-so-pretty but intelligent woman who fell in love with her boss and decided to have a makeover. Other actresses being considered for the role are Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, and Angel Locsin. Another good news for Valerie is that her contract for the noontime show Wowowee was renewed. Her contract with the noontime show expired last February 16 and was extended for another 6 months.

i dont usually make comments pero this is really funny coz when marimar was just starting… ang daming bumabatikos ., kesho remake., copycats., etc… pero ironically abs-cbn is also doing the same thing now. its also a remake of a columbian teleserye which was first aired in gma. they fall on the same genre.i usually switch between channels. so u can say im not a certified kapuso or kapamilya. and im glad im not one., because i dont want to hurt myself in defending the station im supporting. hehehe., people. stop fighting., the more i read your comments the more na nagwowonder ako kng viewers lang b talaga kayo or mga staff lang ng abs at gma ang nag-aaway dito..be truthful. feeling ko talaga. feeling ko rin that others are just changing their names but its the same person. and please dont make the effort of sending mssgs for me or to me after this coz rest assured, i wont open this site again.. my point here is that i like both gma and abs., but for this particular case, im just extending to you what i observed. thanx. mwah.,

i mean betty is a columbian soap opera while the marimar is a mexican soap., but they’re of the same genre bec they are foreign telenovelas that ,. we’re trying to make remakes or adopt. im waiting for a genuine filipino soap like pangako sa’yo. but this is a trend nowadayz. hehe
