From the big screen to the boob tube, comedy queen Ai Ai delas Alas is all set to play as the superheroine Volta, a role she first did in the 2004 film of the same title from ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema.
The story of Volta has undergone a major upgrade. It looks more closely at the life of the heroine: a spinster-dressmaker who has acquired super powers related to electricity, which she will use for the greater good. Each week, Volta faces villains with different strengths and struggles, each one more formidable than the last. “Volta: the Series” airs early January 2008, on ABS-CBN.
