ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol World news anchor Ted Failon’s wife, Trinidad “Trina” Etong remains in critical condition at the New Era General Hospital in Quezon City after sustaining a bullet wound in her left temple Wednesday.

Authorities are still trying to determine whether the shooting was an attempted homicide or a suicide attempt. Failon claimed his wife committed suicide due to a problem about “family finances.”

There was also reportedly a suicide note supposedly left by Trina.

Sorry sorry Papa, — Mama” read the note.

Failon is a news anchor of TV Patrol World and is a radio commentator on dzMM, the radio station of ABS-CBN.
