TV host Willie Revillame announced Monday in a press conference that he wishes to rescind his contract with ABS-CBN.
“When it (Wowowee) was cancelled, it was as if my life was consumed as well, I see no reason why I should still continue my contract with ABS-CBN,” Revillame said. Willie was supposed to return to Wowowee last July 31 as agreed upon in his meetings with ABS-CBN executives, Linggit Tan and ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio only to be informed later on that the network changed its mind. Wowowee was then replaced by Pilipinas Win na Win. Willie wants to leave ABS-CBN peacefully and will reportedly not sue for damages. ABS-CBN has yet to issue an answer to Willie’s decision.
