Willie Revillame’s letter to ABS-CBN: Release me as a talent of the network

Wowowee main host Willie Revillame has asked ABS-CBN to release him from his contract.

In a letter he sent to the ABS-CBN bosses, which include Chairman Gabby Lopez, President Charo Santos-Concio, Cory Vidanes (ABS-CBN Channel head), Johnny Manahan (Wowowee director), Arlene de Castro (Willie’s business manager), Linggit Tan (ABS-CBN business unit head), Jay Montelibano (Wowowwee business unit head), and Edgar Mortiz (Wowowee creative consultant); he stated that he humbly request the management to release him as a talent of the network. “I do not want to cause any further embarrassment to the network. I know that all these have caused so much strain on our relations and I would like to save the situation by asking that I be released as a talent of the station. This way, I will have the much-needed space and time to contemplate on my direction in life and, at the same time, maintain the relationships I have built within the network, which are all worth preserving,” part of the letter said.

Willie’s contract is good for one year and a half more. The parties involved will have a scheduled meeting on May 24, 2010.
