Wowowee wows Dubai
More than 20,000 people from the Middle East and as far as the United States reportedly flocked to the Dubai Festival City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates last January 30, 2009, to watch the noontime show, “Wowowee.”
The show dubbed as “WowoWillie: Round the World…Touchdown in Dubai!” marked the beginning of Wowowee’s 2009 TFC World Tours, which is part of the 15th anniversary celebration of The Filipino Channel (TFC) and the 4th anniversary of the Wowowee.
Present in the opening were Luningning, Milagring, Mariposa, Saicy Aguila, co-hosts Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, and Pokwang and of course the main man Willie Revillame who sang a medley of his hit singles — “Wowowee Theme,” “Buksan Mo Papasukin Ako,” “Umaalog-alog,” “Sayaw Darling,” “Rock ‘n’ Rollin,” and “Igiling-giling.”.
Special guests include former Dubai-based scholar of Pinoy Dream Academy 2, Liezel Garcia and international singing sensation Charice Pempengco.

Hello po sa lahat!…malungkot po kami dito ..kaming ka flatmates ko kasi gustong gusto po namin manuOd ng wowowe kaso sayang hindi po talaga namin makita kahit ulo man lng ni willy o ng mga dancers..ang baba ng stage kahit tinasan man lng sana para naman maysilbi yong 60 dirhmas na binyad namin.after ng first game umuwi nlg kami kasi wala talaga kaming makita kahit saan kami pumunta …akala namin kami lng ang papalabas pauwi yon pala ang dami daming tao na pauwi rin kasi yon nga po hindi makikita yong nasa stage…so sa wowowee organizers…sana po next time pagbutihin nyo naman kasi hindi lng kami ang naghihimotok sa 60 Dhs. na binyad namin kondi marmi ring kababayan ang nagsisi dahil sa ginawa nyo..pati ang pagbinta ng ticket sa labas hindi organize..pila daw yon pala bibigyan rin lng yong bagong dating.sobrang unfair po sa amin na nagaantay kami ng ilang oras tapos bibigyan ng ticket huli na.

Wowowee Organizers in Dubai…sinisira nyo ang aming pagtitiwala…sana doon nyo nalng hineld yong wowowee sa dubai aviation club..organize at sure na makakakita ang lahat pati mga bata don…like Gary Valenciano nong last november na nagconcert sya rito.Lahat enjoy and happy kasi nakikita namin lahat from head to toe.

How unprofessional and unethical of you people, that because of the noontime shows na pinag-aawayan nyo, the OFWs working “back-breakingly” hard here in the middle east would be put into such a demoralized state.
Is this the Filipino value that schools teach nowadays? Or talagang hindi kayo nakinig sa mga teachers nyo ng Values Education?
I am an OFW working here in Abu Dhabi. I planned to watch Wowowee in Dubai with my sister. But unfortunately, i had to work on Fridays. So i passed. If EB was there, i would have planned to watch too. Both noontime shows are famous in Pinas, and both lessen the feeling of being homesick para sa mga kababayan natin dito sa abroad. I am a proud pinoy because of these shows. They know how to entertain people not only in our own country, but pati na rin sa malalayong lugar na kailangan mo ng “kabayan” to think that you’re not alone, and that you can keep up with life kahit gaano kahirap ang bansang iniwan mo.
Now if these ideas wouldn’t be enough to get you off your usual ways of neverending and nonsensical fights, then you all suck!

hello santa clause.. you should bring happiness to everyone around you, just like what your name suggests. but unfortunately, you are just good at exalting yourself from others and that makes you a big fool. hindi tayo nag-uusap ng mahirap o mayaman dito. if you are poor, try to strive hard to improve yourself, just like what others are doing. if you are rich, then be thankful because you are blessed and try to help the poor people struggling around you. if you are sour-graping because you don’t have much, it’s a pity kasi un ang ipinapakita mo sa mga comments mo.
wowowee and eat bulaga are doing a great job at entertaining people. you don’t really need to take one side and ruin the other’s reputation. just enjoy the fun, at wag na kaung mag-sour-graping. it’s like a neverending fight between “nora” and “vilma” fans, “marian” and “karylle” fans, at ngaun, “wowowee” and “eat bulaga” fans.
as long as they keep you people entertained, be thankful sa mga katulad nilang may mga talent. wag na kaung mag-away, calling each other “names” to the point of cursing, dahil ipinapakita nyo lang kung gaano kayo kababaw on a very trivial issue.
wake up, people! these stars and shows are not your life.

Eh bakit maka EB ka, wow namanEB walang binatbat sa Wowowee, tingnan mo naman ang stage ng EB sa Wowowee, sino sa tingin mo ang mas may class, If you think na EB you’re stupid, yang EB mo 30 yrs na hanggang ngayon wala pa ring improvement sa set eh kasi ang daming mga laos na host na paswelduhan kaya hindi maaford magbago ng set. Latest nga hindi na maibigay yung napanalunang 1 million kasi totoo siguro yung balita na lugi na. ANo ka Joey De Leon nakarma ka. Dapat nga grateful kayo sa Wowowee kasi ang daming mga kababayan nating natutulungan, siguro nga mas madami pang natulungan ang Wowowee kesa sa EB kahit na 30yrs pa sila on air, sa dami nang naipamigay ng Wowowee.Makikita mo naman sa reaction ng mga contestant na tuwang tuwa pag nakapasok na contestant sa Wowowee iyak ng iyak, madalas sinasabi nila na natupad ang pangarap nila ang makasali sa Wowowee, eh kasi nga sa hirap ng buhay sa Phil, pag nakasali ka sa Wowowee malaki ang chance to win big. Dapt yang EB palitan na ang mga hosts, iwan na lang si Vic tutal sya lang naman gusto ng tao hindi si Joey, Tito and the other unknown hosts, at least magandang tapatan- Vic at Willie. Correct me if your worng kristine babe… do you know y salary in the philippines is too low compared to malaysia singapore brunei cambodia vietnam and thailand? OFW is the most lucrative export business in the philippines.. selling fresh slaves for very cheap prices… dont you think you are sold by our government for a small amount? salaries in the philippines is intentionally very low to force people to go abroad this is the same thing in india, bangladesh and pakistan… you are in dubai because you were so for 20 pieces of silver in the bible times (if you read or had one).. so OFW dont brag about your remittances is helping the economy… only the crocs in the government ate 90% of what you remit and the rest to the economy… i am not thankful for you being there. it doesnt help at all…..

santa clause, thanks for expounding, but don’t you think it’s way off topic to involve the OFWs in this issue of watching wowowee vs. eat bulaga? that’s what i’ve been trying to point out from the very start. leave the OFWs alone, they are working abroad to feed their families because if they don’t sacrifice everything, their kids would die from starvation. if they happen to feed the government from their remittances, then that is not what they wanted anyway… incidental na lang un… if you could give us a more satisfying job with a higher salary to help us improve our lives, then please help us. BUT, if you can’t do anything about the situation, then better “zip it”. your concerns must all go to the government, dahil batay sa mga pahayag mo, pinuwersa kami ng gobyerno kya kami nandito…

oks sana yung wowowee sa dubai festival kaya lang ang daming napagod sa kakatayo dhil walang mga upuan…dapat napag isipang mabuti na mas maganda sana ang show kung komportable lahat ang mga manonood…yung tanghali kse masyado maliwanag at mainit kya hindi rin makita yung sa screen na malaki…kawawa yung mga bata na gustong manood at makakita sa lahat ng cast ng wowowee…masyado magulo… saka masyado magulo ang camera kya hindi makita nung ibang nakapunta at nakapanood sa wowowee yung mga mukha nila sa TV(TFC). pro ok na rin at least kahit papano nakadalaw kayo sa middle east at nakapagpasaya d2. tnx.

nakakatawa mga kapamilya kung pano nila idolohin ang isang mandaraya at mayabang na tao. natutuwa ako dahil 20thou ang nanood kay puppy (papi). alam nyo ba kung bakit kami natutuwa, kasi hindi kami kasali dun sa mga nanood na yun.
anyway, just keep on admiring your puppy. na mahilig kumuha ng simpatya ng tao. tsaka sya ba ang nagpapasaya sa wowowee o masaya lang wowowee dahil sa pambabastos ni puppy sa mga contestant.
wowowee is not even a staple in our office here in dubai. meron ngang nanood ng wowowee sa office namin at ni minsan di nila kinuwento pinanood nila. why? kasi takot silang masabihang utak wowowee.
I dont have access to pinoy tv here and the owner of our flat has TFC. There are 10 people in our flat and guess how many people watch during wowowee? Only 2 people watch the show and to tell you the truth they are also quiet when it comes to discussing the show. Why? cause we all know what is the character of puppy. Iiyak-iyak, titirahin si joey, then all of a sudden magsosorry. (i just referred to the entertainment articles and web videos on this matter). ganun ba ang me kredibilidad. tapos hihingi sya ng simpatya sa tao. ogag talaga. eto namang mga ewan, nakikisimpatya naman ke puppy eh halata namang nandaya. tao nga naman. iniidolo ang isang mandaraya. halata na nga eh nagpapalusot pa.

Buti na lang nde ako nahikayat manood ng wowowee sa dubai!!! Isa sana ako sa mga nagsisisi. Kahit sa TV nde ko rin pinapanood yan eh nyahahahahaha
