Bee Gees’ Robin Gibb dies

(RIP) Robin Gibb reportedly died in England at 10:47 a.m. (5:47 a.m. ET) after a long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery.

He was 62 years old. Robin was diagnosed with colon and liver cancer and had shown that he had an “iron will” when he awoken from a nearly two-week-long coma prior to his death.

He, and brothers Maurice and Barry formed the musical group, Bee Gees, who helped define the disco era with their falsetto harmonies and funky beats.

Maurice died on January 12, 2003 at the age of 53 from a heart attack. Barry Gibb, 65, is now the only surviving member of the group.
