CBCP’s Visita Iglesia Online draws more than 130,000 users

More than 130,000 users reportedly logged on the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) Visita Iglesia online this 2011.

This is far better from the 43,000 visitors who registered last year. The website is an online version of the Holy Week and Easter tradition for Filipinos abroad and devout Catholics who are physically incapable of leaving their homes. It now features 14 historical shrines and pilgrimage churches in Metro Manila and nearby provinces, 21 chapters of the “Pasyon,” homilies, catechesis, among other liturgical practices.
