Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria yesterday married NBA Finals MVP Tony Parker in a civil ceremony at a Paris city hall, a day before a church wedding and lavish celebrations at a nearby storied chateau.
Paris Mayor Betrand Delanoe performed the ceremony at the municipal offices in central Paris where hundreds of fans and paparazzi had gathered to get a glimpse of the couple.
Longoria, 32, showed up first in a white stretch limousine, wearing a way-above-the-knee pink Chanel dress with striped black and white straps while Parker, 25, arrived about 10 minutes later in a gray minivan, wearing a dark suit. He went straight in without waving. French soccer star Thierry Henry was in his group.
The civil ceremony is the prelude to a church wedding to be held today at the Saint-Germain-l’Auxerrois church, not far from the Louvre museum in central Paris.
