How to get to Palaui Island, Cagayan Valley – Philippines

Palaui Island, Cagayan Valley was recently named as the one of the Philippines’ best beaches and islands by CNNGo, the travel news website of the Cable News Network.

It’s got white sands surrounded by volcanic rocks on one side and blue-green waters on the other plus coral gardens and a rich marine reserve.

From Manila, you can board a bus headed to Santa Ana, Cagayan Valley. The travel time is approximately 14 to 16 hours.

The only one with direct route to Santa Ana from Manila is GV Florida Transport. You can contact them at +63 2 7433809/+63 2 781 5894.

In Santa Ana, you can then take a tricycle to the San Vicente Port. Hire a boat (600 pesos) and a guide (400 to 2,000 pesos) to take you to Punta Verde, Palui Island.

Alternatively, you can fly Manila to Tuguegarao City. In Tuguegarao, take a tricycle to the van terminal bound for Santa Ana. The van trip will take about three hours.
