Ted Failon charged with obstruction in wife’s death

Trinidad “Trina” Etong, wife of ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol World anchor Ted Failon, succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head at 8:50PM Thursday.

The Quezon City Police filed obstruction of justice charges in wife’s death against Ted Failon (Teodoro Etong) and six others. Failon and house helpers Pacifico Apacible, Carlota Morbos, Wilfreda Bolliser and Glen Palan were charged for failure to immediately report the incident to police and for cleaning the crime scene where the Trinidad allegedly shot herself last Wednesday.

Ted’s sister-in-law Pamela Arteche and brother-in-law Maximo Arteche were also included as co-accused because they refused to have Trinidad undergo paraffin test.

The gun that was used in the shooting was taken by Glen, and it was passed to Ted making it hard for the police to reconstruct the crime scene.
