Tropical storm Butchoy (Bagyong Butchoy) is set to enter the Philippine area of responsibility by noon Thursday.
This is according to PAGASA’s senior weather forecaster, Mario Palafox.
“Parang bumilis ang tropical storm Guchol o Butsoy. Anytime now hanggang tanghali papasok na ito sa Philippine area of responsibility,” he said.
Butchoy may not land on Philippine soil but it is continuing to intensify and will bring about 20 milliliters volume of rain per hour.
It wise to bring your umbrellas or raincoats in times like this. Not to mention rain boots in flood prone areas.
The continuous rains may trigger flashfloods and landslides so take precautionary measures.
