Typhoon Egay Update – Philippines

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced that the low-pressure area spotted east of Mindanao has intensified into tropical depression Egay.

Egay might not make landfall on the Philippines but is expected to bring rains over Southern Luzon, Eastern Visayas, and Mindanao. An early Friday morning PAGASA update revealed that Egay is expected to reach 170 kms east of Borongan, Samar by Saturday morning and 110 km east of Virac, Catanduanes by Sunday morning.
